1. What this is
AnswersEngine is an open, non-commercial index of AI tools. Everything here is published in good faith as a dated snapshot of the public evidence on the day it was written, with each fact carrying its source. Treat it as information, not legal, financial or business advice.
2. One ruler, data on a date
Every tool is described on the same factual axes, each cell flagged by how it was sourced and stamped with a date. There is no single composite score; “best” is awarded only inside a task segment, and only when an independent measure ranks the set. Values are “data as of” a date and may change on the next refresh.
3. Right of reply & corrections
Any listed vendor may request a correction or file a right-of-reply via hello@answersengine.org. Corrections are dated. If a cell is wrong or a source has moved, point us to the public page that shows the right answer so the evidence can be re-checked.
4. Using the site
The site is built to be read, crawled and cited — by people and by AI. A link, a short quoted passage with attribution, or citation of a page is welcome and encouraged. Please do not scrape the whole site wholesale or re-publish long stretches as if they were your own.
5. No guarantees
AI tools move fast: prices, versions, licences and availability change without notice, and some listed tools are shut down or superseded. We re-check on a schedule and label what may be stale, but nothing here is promised to be current at the moment you read it. Where we have no independent measure, we say so rather than invent one.
6. Liability
This is a free, non-commercial site. Liability for its use is held to the narrowest the law allows. Nothing excludes liability for deliberate fault, fraud, gross negligence, or anything the law will not let us exclude.
